Have you looked at the imaging Lingo example included
with the normal Director 8 & 8.5 install ? (imaging.dir)
It is a decent example of the scenario that you are
attempting to achieve.
It should be located in the Learning folder.

Subject: <lingo-l> drawing like in a drawing prgramme
hi List,
I am currently expeimenting with the image lingo, and want to write a small
drawing program with director.
what i have done so far:
I am dragging a little dot castmember along at the mouse coordinates 'while
the stilldown' and as part of this loop I then copy (with each iteration of
the loop) the little dot into another castmember that acts as my canvas.
This is where the problem starts: I cannot get a contiuous line drawn out,
only a series of dots which are more or less closly spaced depending on the
speed at which I am moving the mouse allong. Is it a limitation of the
processor (not enough loop cycles to 'fill in the gaps'?
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Many Thanks,
Nik Crosina
