puppetSound with no sound card!

Hi!

I have made a CD-Rom which triggers sound using the puppetSound command.
Could the lack of a sound card in a machine cause the CD-Rom to crash or run
poorly? If so, is there a workaround? (I have finished the project and the
command puppetSound appears many times!!!)
