Do it using a date...

set a date on which the projector will expire...retrieve
the system date and check that against your expiration date
at each launch.

or

retrieve the system date the first time your app is launched, store
it somewhere and check that against the system date at launch to see
hom many days have elapsed since the first launch. Have your app Halt (or
Quit) when the number
of days exceeds "x" number of days with you setting "x" to the number of
days allowed.

For more on this kind of thing (and plenty of other basic lingo tips) you
should consult the Official
Macromedia Press Guide to Director or another similar text like
Bacon, Martin and Nyquist's Director Bible (my favorite).

Is there a way to set a projector not to work after a number of days?
