I tried a couple different combinations (HSI first, then QDIO first). So
long as all the interfaces were resolvable via DNS or /etc/hosts, it
seemed to work.

Admittedly, I'm not a WAS guru -- I think I did the federation thing
right, but wouldn't swear to it -- but it did seem to solve the problem
for me.
