Hi list,
Does anyone know if there is any TN3270 emulator that could be installed in
a PC running Linux in order to get connected to a zSeries ?
Currently we achieve this by using IBM Personal communications installed on
our Windows PCs but we would like to migrate our Desktops to Linux and this
would be a critical point to take into account: No emulator means no Linux
Desktop and thus, continue under Windows.
Does anybody know where I could get some information relating this subject ?
Download and install CentOS 4 on a peecee. It's a free clone of RHEL 4
and a good example of what's around and it's like one of the candidates
for your desktop Linux.
Install these:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ rpm -qa '*3270*'
x3270-x11-3.3.2.p1-7
x3270-text-3.3.2.p1-7
x3270-3.3.2.p1-7
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$
You have choices of text-mode (works from a non-GUI environment, "just
like a real 3270," inside X (about equivalent to what you've been
doing), and a script-driven version where you might be able to
programmatically enter Linux, VM, OS etc commands.
Thanks in advance,

Asunto: [PATCH 50/59] sysctl: Move utsname sysctls to their own file
From: Eric W. Biederman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - unquoted
This is just a simple cleanup to keep kernel/sysctl.c from getting to
crowded with special cases, and by keeping all of the utsname logic to
together it makes the code a little more readable.
