Now, it *is* nice if it works under Hercules because that opens up the development community to an order of magnitude more people. This is the cause of my apparent schizophrenia whereby I'm strongly suggesting that it would be neat if Hercules learned to do the (now fully documented) DIAGs that OpenSolaris requires and exploits.
You know we're working on that Adam ;) Now, I wasn't even talking about hercules ! And the fact is, I wasn't talking about Opensolaris/z - but rather z/Linux on a z10 LPAR ! And until the day PR/SM decides to implement Diag 250 (and others) - or until the day someone decides that z/Linux will only work under z/VM - then you're going to have to maintain both interfaces to achieve the same result. And hopefully, DASD written by Diag 250 can be re-read using normal I/Os ! --Ivan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
