Thanks Mark That was it. I would have thought that my current directory would be searched prior to searching the path.
I didn't need to specify a path for the execs I created on SLES7 thru SLES10. I guess it is possible that I accidently, always, put the execs in a directory that was in the path, but that is kind of stretching it. Anyway, I can work with specifying the path.
