You have to realize that they are using the off-chip APIC like the classic
Tyan TomCat III. If you have ever had a P5 SMP, you would know about the
82093AA (IOAPIC) and the 82849DX (IOAPIC)

This is a start for you to understand what is going on.........
It is an excellent attempt, but with Intel burning the sense-pins and
apic-lines............well.....
