Just a short note: I've had many different machines on KVM switch, and
unless your KVM switch is of much better quality than the ones I've
tried, I don't think you can blame BP6 for this one.

The phenomenon you are describe frequently happens to me with non-BP6
hardware. Besides, I think the BP6 PS/2 stuff is fairly standard.
