I believe that Adam's point is, that in Linux, you are able to LEARN how to
do this sort of thing, whereas in LoseDOS, the option doesn't even exist.

Fortunately, I have Bob Hauck kill-filled for exactly this type of
gross ignorance.

I'm well aware of the difference between the two men and I never made
a statement that showed I was confused. It appears that Bob is the
one that is confused.

My bet is that Microsoft will try to make sure that XML is fundamentally
crippled in some way, so as to IMPEDE a migration to XML.

Hmm... you might be suprised. A large (not huge like was promised)
tax cut would spurn the economy and perhaps jump-start and stave off
the recession for a little while, at least.

By the way, I hope no one believed the Algore, Vice Perpetrator, when
he lied and said that Bush's plan only benefited the top 1%. That was
furthest from the truth. Families making under $30,000 a year get a
100% tax cut.

Damn straight.

MS claims to make "modern" operating systems...built on a foundation
using 1960's-style drive letters.

Damn straight.

MS claims to make "modern" operating systems...built on a foundation
using 1960's-style drive letters.

Basic user stuff. How to copy files, how to run programs, how to discover
what storage facilities (drives) are available on your system, how to get
help, etc.

In Windows, this is all plainly obvious, or 5 minutes of research would
reveal all this to you. It takes weeks in Linux for a newbie to fully
learn all the commands and become knowledgeable about the command line.

There's a reason why we got away from the command line...
