When Company A makes a deal with Company B, specifying that proceeds of
sales of products from company C will be diverted to Company A, that's illegal.

In contrast, AMD making Intel-compatible chips under license is

Company A making a deal with Company B, specifying that the proceeds
of CERTAIN items made by Company B--which use Company A's PATENT(S)
will be used to compensate Company A for use of Company A's patent.

Yeah right.

They sent me an EMail.

Here it is in its entirety:

Dear Mr. Goodwin,

Many thanks for your enquiry to SuSE Installation Support.

Your enquiry goes beyond the scope of Installation Support. This support
is intended primarily as a help to get a basic system up and running. (see
appendix A of the handbook). We hope you will understand that advanced
topics such as the one your question involves cannot be answered in full
detail.

If the manual starting if DHCP works, then you can add a line with that
command to the /etc/init.d/boot.local file.

I don't see how this can be solved apart from switching the computer off
before you boot into Linux.

10,000 Unix workstations at GM have ***NO*** command line available
to the users.

Hope that helps.

Paul Allen got Hodgkins Disease (sp?) in, I believe, 1983. Whatever,
while he was fighting the cancer he was on leave and after winning the
fight never really came back to Microsoft. He was on the Board of
Directors in the 90's but recently decided to retire from that -
http://www.microsoft.com/PressPass/press/2000/Sept00/AllenHackbornPR.asp

As far as I know he was never interviewed for the DOJ trial and I'm
certain he never testified in court on the matter.

And you can always run Linux under Windows if you prefer. The way of
the operating system is dated -- people won't be paying for them in
the near future, and everyone will be able to run whatever they
like without regard to applications. It may take 10 years, but it
will happen.

I have LOTS of eye-witness references.

One was during a firefight at Bastogne. The field hospital was CLEARLY
marked with HUGE International Red Cross symbols (like, 6 foot x 6 foot
square, giant red cross on a field of white).

A squad of Germans, upon breaching the American lines, first fired
into the hospital with submachineguns, and then entered the hospital,
and killed everyone inside.

Under the Geneva Convention, ALL of these personnnel were non-combatants.
The medical personnal, and of course, all of the patients.

See the book Seven Roads to Hell.

Would you state something you did not believe to be true "as an argument
used to convince someone" since those "are the arguments that
convince HIM"? If so you are a hypocrite as well as a liar.

You used Exodus 20:13 as an argument to convince. Do you believe the Bible?
If not, you are a hypocrite.
