Actually, I take exception to your last comment. I use Windows 2000 for
everything. Games run a lot *better* under Windows 2000 than 98.

9x crashes whenever it wants to... how can you game on a crashing system?

I am a serious PC gamer. I spend money on stuff like the GeForce 3 even
when I know two weeks later it will be half the cost.

My point is this: for Win32 games, NOTHING beats Windows 2000.

And game developers know this -> they are already making sure their games
work with w2k because XP is w2k based.

The latest versions of DX are identical across 98se2, ME, and 2000.

NT, btw, only had support for DX 3.0 (and that was only with SP3 and later).

The games I play? Tribes 2 "Awww-another embarassing death", Counterstrike,
Quake3 (sometimes), Unreal, Space Empires IV, Diablo 2, Pharaoh (Cleo pat
exp), Galactica II, Age of Empires II, Allegiance, Civ (call to power),
StarCraft, Homeworld (cat), Alpha Centauri, Ground Control, Earth 2150 (moon
proj.)

All of these games run perfectly under w2k - and 9x can't touch w2k for
reliability.

And I have a sort of strange setup - i am using the GeForce2 MX in twin view
mode - so that my rez is 2048x768 on dual LCD monitors...

quite nice :)

I like not having to dual boot just to work and then play games.

I can do more than what a Linux user can do, and better than a 9x user.

Heh... :)

Just a thought, but wouldn't a uCLinux work on ladder logic?
Haven't yet seen a SPICE for Linux, but there may be one...
It would be a bit more complicated than a real-time PGA algorithm...
Something to code for in a future wish-list...

What about it?

They get many privileges, and many restrictions

In contrast, in the United States, we have stripped all of men's
privileges, and all of womens' restrictions, giving us a society
where men have all the responsibilities and restrictions, and women
have all of the privileges.

In other words...FEUDALISM.

American women are allowed to drive, go out of the house unescorted,
and run off with 50% of a man's wealth PLUS a substantial sum of
2 decades of his future earnings, all by getting pregnant by
Dangerasshole, but designating Mr. High Achiever the father on
the birth certificate.

The primary reason why male/female relationships in the United States
are in such a sorry state is entirely due to the fact that feminism
tipped the delicate balance of power from level to anti-male in
every respect

Let's see...

What do you call a system where

Class A has many burdensome restrictions and many responsibilities
bot Class B, and NO privileges,

while Class B has unlimited freedoms, no restrictions and zero
responsibilites to Class A

That is called FEUDALISM, is it not?

Now...look at the society which feminism has made for us.

Class A above is defined as "men"
Class B above is defined as "women"

So much for freedom and equality.

Any man who supports Feminism is a self-flagellating idiot.
