Workers have the upper hand over business.

Businesses NEED workers....but a worker can quit his job and leave
for a new employer at the drop of a hat. Anything like a 2-week notice
is merely common courtesy.

How can businesses have "power" over non-employees?

Ok, true :)

It depends. Many sites I visit have no CSS or fancy properties, generally
because they are created by people who don't have the time or skill to do
anything fancy, but want to have the info avaliable. In this case, a
whole default style sheet would make it a lot nicer.

Also, a default style sheet won't clash with a page if that page designer
uses his own style sheet, since the one specified in the page would
override the default one. Kind of like the best of both worlds, really.

Yes. However, there are quite a lot of them and NN allows you to choose
about options for 5 different things. I would personally like more
control over how a `default' page is displayed.

Kids these days can't even get a joke right. ITYM I.P. Knightly.

And don't forget "Fifty yard to the Bus Stop" (or "the Outhouse" for
those more juvenilely inclined) by Willey Mayket, Illustrated by Betty

If you're not un-American, then you have nothing to hide.

Microsoft wants you to name names:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/2/18589.html

"While stopping just short of claiming that anyone buying
a PC without an OS is a de facto criminal, MS obviously
reckons that doing so would be outré enough to qualify
one for suspicion, or referral to a shrink. After all,
no sane person is going to muck up a perfectly good new box
with BeOS or Linux or something freaky like that. Right? ®"

This leads to extortion, which is illegal.
Hope that helps
