Philip,
I compiled the 2.2.6 kernel successfully from the tools built from the
info on Bluewaternz.com. I have the binutils-2.9.1 and egs-1.1.2 (gcc
2.91.66). Seeing that the support for the CLPS7500FE is supported in
the 2.4.0-test6 kernel (it is in the config menu!), I decided to build
that kernel... It failed with:
#####################################################
arm-linux-gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/home/arm/linux-2.4.0-test6/linux/include
-Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -pipe -msoft-float -mshort-load-bytes
-march=armv3 -mtune=arm7 -fno-strict-aliasing -c -o init/main.o
init/main.c

Now... Before I go throught that pain & suffering again, ;-), what
binutils & gcc version are you using? I expect that this is my problem,
my utilities are out of date?
TIA,
TomW
