Rajesh, this one is specially for you.
Several people on the Tomcat list feel that there is a problem with the
Blackdown JDK port for Linux. This is probably causing the Tomcat
execution problems. They have said that they have successfully installed
and even put into production, Tomcat installations based on Sun's own JDK
for Linux and the IBM 1.1 JDK( which apparently is supposed to be one of
the best around, even compared to Sun's own JDK).
Is the JDK package on the PCQ Nov 1999 CDROm a Blackdown port? Never
checked it mysqlf. I am presently downloading the Sun JDK(It's Huge!!The
JRE is 12MB and the JDK is 22MB, forget the documentation). Will try the
IBM one later.
Regards,
Sandip
