Are you using masquerading?  There's an internal timer that seems to give
each generic TCP connection 900 seconds past the last activity before it
"forgets" the masquerade mapping, killing the connection.

Otherwise, or if it assuredly is 10, not 15, minutes, yes, there is a
setting in the "filter" file, though I thought the default setting was
shorter than that.  If you're using the standard.filter that came from the
original diald distribution, then it's pretty well commented and this
ought to be easy to find.  I'm afraid it's been so long since I changed
that that I don't recall the entry(s) well enough to describe them for
you.
