I tried to compile the program but I get an error
ckp_pam.c:36: security/pam_appl.h: no such file or directory
I'm running Slackware Linux 2.0.30 Any help out there with this?

Aaaargh .... another problem! This is a summary of the two problems
spotted since my original announcement
(a) Left-over debugging code which generated 'status1 0' messages in
/var/log/messages (at the same rate as diald generates STATUS).
(b) The PAM config file /etc/pam.d/dialmon was left out of the RPM
installation.
These only affect the linux box. The latest version was uploaded
at about 15:00 March 5th (GMT), see dialmon home page for the latest
(the page has a note to this effect now!).
