Theo, Could you send the missing syslog lines with the LCP and IPCP negotiation lines; especially the IPCP lines. Also, it may help to add the following line ppp-options :195.178.7.130 to your diald configuration file. This should make pppd forget about your local address and force the remote to give you one. If pppd is not given this option it would take the local ethernet ip address and assume this should also be the local ip address fo your ppp link. Note the missing local address before the colon.
