I've search Howtos, FAQs & the web to no avail. I think I'm really close, but . . . The weird thing is that the chat script works fine when I use it to establish ppp link without diald running. The following results from executing /usr/sbin/diald (1st 6 entries) and trying to use fetchmail to trigger the dialup: Aug 2 00:30:51 zadkiel diald[7850]: Creating FIFO Aug 2 00:30:51 zadkiel diald[7850]: Using fifo /etc/diald/diald.ctl Aug 2 00:30:51 zadkiel diald[7850]: Proxy device established on interface sl0 Aug 2 00:30:51 zadkiel diald[7850]: start sl0: SIOCSIFMETRIC: Invalid argument Aug 2 00:30:51 zadkiel diald[7850]: start sl0: SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument Aug 2 00:30:52 zadkiel diald[7850]: Diald initial setup completed.
