OK, suggestion #2: I can control this problem better with a proxy
(that way I only have to fix the proxy, not every web browser on
every machine on my net). Get squid, put it on your gateway
machine, and point every browser on your network to it. Then
tweak squid to work around the problem.
As I mentioned, I think the problem is due to browsers keeping the
connection alive through the numerous routing changes that diald
makes, but that's just a guess. If anyone figures out exactly
what's going on, I'd love to know.
