I am dealing with the same thing myself. As far as I can tell so far you do
not want to use "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup ppp0" as the connect
script for diald. I think it has to do with the fact that the script starts
a detached pppd that locks the connection. Diald assumes, I think, that it
can terminate the connect script to bring the link down. Well, if you have
the ifup ppp0 method the connect script exited once the pppd process was
spawned.
If you get information on how to make diald seemless into RH6 please let me
know.
