Do we have a foolproof way of setting up diald to use the 
same ppp configuration as RedHat?  RedHat does some inscrutable
thing in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts and that is maintained
in linuxconf and/or control-panel.  But diald seems to insist on
its own ppp and dialing configuration.  I personally would be
happy to setup diald by cobbling the ppp and dialing stuff the
way diald expects, but it won't be that easy for a client to
understand.  It will be even more difficult to explain why the
connection cannot be maintained through linuxconf (or kppp)...

Shirley we've handled this situation and I missed the FAQ or 
the discussions about it...
