Connect script

I'm trying to set up Diald on my RedHat 6.0 box.  Linux is totally new to 
me, so I'm making progress just to be able to unzip and untar it.  As I 
read through the man pages, I'm finding that I need a connect script.  I've 
been connecting with the network configurator, which I'm told uses pppd. 
 How do I find out what connect script is associated with pppd?
