I was trying to help someone the other day set up a Linux server to
IP Masq a LAN and use diald for net connectivity.

It was a fresh install of Red Hat 6.1 and diald 0.99.something.rpm.

I had ppp-on scripting working fine to dial and connect to the ISP,
that was no problem. I had diald working with the IP Masq'ed clients
to dial out when the client tried to access the net, that was no
problem.

The problem was that diald utterly refused to reroute from sl0 to
ppp0. When the ppp-on script made connection, diald reported
something to the effect of "not resetting the default routing".
Supposedly the default action of diald is to reroute.

In the config file, I inserted "reroute" and diald complained about
"reroute" being an unknown option.

At this point, I haven't a clue as to how to proceed. Does diald
just not work with Red Hat 6.1?

Cheers,
Rob
