I wonder if the OpenBIOS people could be convinced to support as one of
their build targets a software-only configuration. Since they plan to
support all (most?) BIOS functions, being able to build the BIOS so that
an embedded OS could use them would be useful. Since they plan on
supporting different chipsets, a software-only version could just be
considered a different chipset target.
