Just two links of solutions I have been looked at:
http://www2.linuxjournal.com/lj-issues/issue33/0243.html
http://www.linux-mtd.infradead.org/
I have problems to visit the second location now, but try it on your own. It
seems to be a quite good solution, but it has some drawbacks for me:
I'm using the 2.2 Kernel, and the actual version is targeting only 2.3, the
filesystem they are using is a Micro$oft invention, and it is possible to
change the eeprom content while running linux.
But it seems to be a generic concept, worth to invest man power. Sadly, my
current project is targeted to be finished in two months and I think that
it'll take six of them. So there are no chances for me to jump into.
Be the efficiency factor with you,
Lorenz.
