I believe the 300 MHz part is in full production.  You should at least
be able to push the N.S. reps for a few units.  Our board required
one mod to drop the voltage, and another to increase the clock
multiplier (which should have been jumpered but wasn't).

Good results so far.  Besides the noticeable performance boost,
it runs cooler, so much so that a heat sink is no longer required.

Regarding the VSA, coding is a nightmare in this environment.
It's frustrating to have the VSA there changing the state of the
of the same hardware that you're trying to drive.  Many of the
drivers I've seen use VSA *and* go straight to hardware (around VSA).
Without a precise definition of VSA's outputs in response to
it's inputs, it becomes a matter of guessing games and trial
and error.
