Did you read the Diskless-HOWTOs (on http://www.linuxdoc.org)? I have a
system here which doesn't have any ROM onboard, just etherboot burned
directly into the BIOS flash. The machine makes DHCP requests and boots
it's kernel vial TFTP, the root filesystem comes over NFS.
