Hmmmm... read only you say.. wonder if something is tripping you
there... like some sort of logging.  Are you running a syslogd?

Have you tried replacing tinylogin with the same login that your RH
install uses?  I would suspect anything you have messed with.

If not that then I would suspect some sort of library version
problem.  LEM is pretty old.  Unless its been updated since I used it
last.  Where are you compiling your stuff before you move it to the
target?
