Check filewatcher.org. I found a wrong FTP site for one of my
packages posted there. The guy who posted it is someone I've never
communicated with. He found it copied to some other guy's site and
posted that guy's site. Of course, my official sites were not listed
in filewatcher and I have no idea whether the site that is posted in
filewatcher ever gets refreshed off my two official sites (official
meaning the ones I personally guarantee to post my latest release to).
Also, just do an altavista or whatever search and you'll find hits all
over the place.
It happens.
