OK. The device ax0 was working from the first place.
Thanks to you, I managed to have it working
with almost acceptable ftp performance (generally speaking): 
min/typ/max: 35/65/85 cps.


I think, that there is an important concept, that neither the HOWTO
nor anybody else did mention:

As soon as you setup the channel between two hosts with AX25,
you'll have to optimize the link between them by tweaking parameters.
Default parameteres are *NOT* for general use, 
and they are pretty slow when the link is like mine:
only 2 hosts, no noise, no transmition delays, asymetrical traffic.

I suppose that most of you had previous experience with *nos,
so you knew already the parameters (and the ...evolutionary optimization).
Well, this is not true for everyone!

It would be nice, if the HOWTO had some examples of typical
configurations not only for kissattach & routing, but also on
timings (T1, T2, T3, backoff etc), for a case by case basis.
