My problem with OpenOffice has always been that I was not able to use the culmus fonts with it. Somehow it alwas shows them as squares, or whatever. (I used spadmin, and thems core fonts work well on the same installations. And in several different systems).
This has almost rendered it unusable for me. Or at least meant that it can't be used out-of-the-box. I have not yet tried the 1.1 beta.
