Most of the users reporting problems are those who
have installed XF4 "on top of" XF3. This is NOT the
right thing to do, as some of XF3 modules are NOT
compatible with XF4. They will DEFINATELY CRASH the
system. heck, my X wont even start up wif some old
modules are present. Please remove the old modules (if
u know what u r doing), or move the old X dir.
somewhere, and try out XF4 fresh...
