The XF86Config file is corrupt. Delete the file from '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11' 
and '/etc/X11'. Run XConfigurator.
or simply
find all XF86Config files and delete. to search it
'find / -name "XF86Config" -print' command will give you the list. delete 
them all and run Xconfigurator to Configure your Display adapter.
