'Publicity stunt' is the only word suitable for such advertising. A
formatted partition [thorough format with clearing unused space] sets
all bits to 0, making it impossible to recover data from the same
device.

There are ways of guessing disk parameters if the disk is damaged, and
trying to recover data from such a disk but there is no way to extract
data from a physically intact and reformatted disk.

The claims are far fetched. And this discussion has been recycled for
more than it is worth. Killing the thread.
