Here it is :

debian:~# mount -v -t vfat /dev/hda6 /mnt/data/
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda6,
       or too many mounted file systems

/dev/hda4           962      2096   9116887+   5  Extended
/dev/hda5           962      1326   2931831    b  Win95 FAT32
/dev/hda6          1327      1691   2931831    b  Win95 FAT32

hda5 mounts without any problems. Still puzzled ????
Sometimes Linux works funny.

I even tried to recreate all the extended partitions other than hda5 but still I
get the same error :-) I go into linux after formatting the partition under
windows.
