Nope. I am automounting only three partitions at present, since there is
nothing at present in the other partitions. And this also happens if I
mount from the console without automounting them from fstab.

After deleting the earlier partitions and than recreating partitions from
/dev/hda6 onwards should have rectified whatever was screwed up. Isn't it
?
