Last time I installed PHP  *standard RPM* from Red Hat it was minus MySQL
support :-( this was nearly an year ago things might have changed BUT with
so many modules available with PHP it can no longer be said what is
considered as a standard install.


To ask your web server to parse php3 files search the
/etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf for a line like the one below

AddType application/x-httpd-php

just add .php to that line
