 Not interesting at all - pretty common and well known.

He's doing something which is not usually done ... sending mail as root.
Likely using /bin/mail or similar which doesn't set the envelope sender.

Tell him to see http://www.hserus.net/sendmail.html - and not to send mails
as root (or use root for other than admin work)

This one - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - i have no idea.  Is this what his root is
aliased to in /etc/aliases?  Go to /etc and /etc/mail and fgrep for
viorelungur ... maybe his box has been r00t3d (can happen, even on dialups)
