[LIH] Eterm::less->backspace = ^H

Hi all,

In Eterm, when I view a file with less, backspace key (during
operations search as '/'), results in a ^H on screen. 
Esc-bkspc however gives the desired effect of deleting whatever
precedes.

xterm, rxvt, etc. do not have this problem.

What could be the problem?
