First thing is you should have XFree 4 for this. Debian 2.2 even release 3
does not come with XFree 4 (They are still giving XFree 3.3.6). However
XFree 4 debs are available.
During installation of XFree 4 debs it will ask u to configure and create
XF86Config file.
If after installing the debs you want to reconfigure X than type
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfreee86
( of course as root )
