Dear all, I am running a gateway (linux RH 6.2) which is connected to Hathway's connection (cable Direct to NIC). Here i am running a web server apache there. I want to host a site there which can be browsed by IP given by Hathway.
I am able to ping from remote server but when try to LYNX the site. it goes in infinite wait. BUT sites works fine in local end. when i try to nmap my Gateway from remote server. It show certains port like 21, 20 and 80 as FILTERED and rest as OPEN. What that does mean i am unable to telnet to 80 port too.. even AFTER /sbin/ipchains -F where INPUT & OUTPUT chains are ACCEPT by default. After flushing all rule-sets when i try to run namp again it shows FILTERED 21, 20 & 80. Why this happening ? Can anyone have any idea.
