Good Linux day everyone,
I have a situation here.
Could anyone tell me how to upgrade to kernel 2.4.17
with these givens...
- The RH-7.2 box has kernel-2.4.7-10 on ext3 fs
- I wanna upgrade to 2.4.17 with (or without) ext3
[Am Fed up with 2.4.7 crashing]
- All is fine except e2fsprogs. here version 1.25 for
RedHat-7.2 (with ext3 support) doesn't seem to be
available.
Should i revert to ext2?
- how? I am trying to avoid a hard disk format
If I can continue with ext3 how to get around the e2fsprogs
problem.
Also I was not able to find an rpm for e2fsprogs 1.25 for
RedHat 7.2 on redHat.com. I got e2fsprogs-1.25-1.i386.rpm
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/rawhide/1.0/i386/RedHat/RPMS/
is it Ok to use this?
Iam throughly confused...Please help
