Hi,

In Eudora (our client are using Eudora 5.1), there is a feature called
Return Read Receipt which allows the sender to request a notification
that the message is read by the recepient. When the recepient receives
the mail, after reading the mail during closing that message the user
gets a menu to select

If the user wants to notify sender ?

NOW LATER NEVER CANCEL

Most of the times user press NOW, which means notify the sender. However
the problem is eudora puts a blank envelope sender to these notifications.

On Linux server mailq shows :

/var/spool/mqueue (2 requests)
    ----Q-ID---- --Size-- -----Q-Time----- ------------Sender/Recipient------------
    g7K4eNO02061 3210 Tue Aug 20 10:10 <>
                            (Deferred: mail.dempos.com.: Network is unreachable)
                            <validid@validdomain>

This is what happens while sending these mails :

    SMTP>> MAIL FROM:<> SIZE=2846
    SMTP<< 250 2.1.0 <>... Sender ok
    SMTP>> RCPT TO:<validid@validdomain>
    SMTP<< 550 5.7.1 <validid@validdomain>... Relaying denied
    SMTP>> QUIT

However if I compose a new message all is fine. Why is this happening only
for Return Read Receipt Notification ? Can anybody help me on this ?

I went through all Eudora settings but could not find an answer!!!

Thanks in advance.

Peace
