I went through the rfc and found that the above stuff was correct. Accordingly
I had sent a detailed mail to the people who are hosting our server.

It looks like they have not understood at all and have sent me a mail saying 
that we checked everything is working, problem is with your email client:-).

Till those people understand what I want to say, is there any temporary measure 
to avoid the above.

I will contact them again. Changing the web host etc. is not in my hands. It is
the job of my boss. And I think over a period of time the same thing was 
happening, even when we were on NT MDaemon server :-) At that time I was not an
email server admin.
