are you able to successfully surf the internet without any problems? is it a problem of DNS (not sure)? i would also recommend to check out the IP Masquerading/NAT setup howto (or it is a mini-howto). You can find it at http://www.tldp.org If you setup your masquerading successfully, then you'll not be required to use a proxy server, and you can specify the ipaddress of the server machine (which is directly connected to the internet) in the gateway of the client machine, and you can do almost everything through it (e.g. ping, smtp, pop, imap, yahoo, jabber etc.). -- \|||/ (o o) --------------------------------ooO-----(_)-Ooo- | vivek | GPG Key: | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://exain.net/vike | |------------------------------------------------| | Registered Linux User: #305493 | ------------------------------------------------ ( _ ) _| | | |_ (___| |___) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
