Well, I understand your point but can't help to be picky here. Reach of newsgroups or mailing list can be equal. If 50K professionals choose to subscribe to a mailing list, it would have same sort of reach. OK. Now let's not start pull v/s push technology debate on this. Both have their own places. All I am saying is reason those many people participate on online forum(of any kind) is because they want to share knowledge/experience. It's the spirit that is more important than the method of delivery..
