As an administrator ofcourse I should not wait for Raj to circulate the
advisory before taking any action.
For everyone else it might or might not be useful depending upon the
level of control one has over one or more linux installations. It also
depends on what all applications you are responsible.
I believe the advisory would not be of equal importance to everyone but
I do believe it would remind people to ensure his or her domain is
secure if the responsible people havent already taken precautions.
I do understand downloading yet another email which might not have any
importance to me could be a costly affair but then one has to take that
into account when we join a distribution list. We take it for granted
that for every useful email I will read there might be ten times more
emails in my mailbox which might be of no importance to me but
potentially of great importance to some of my friends who are in the
list.
