I would never think of subscribing to a seperate security list and see
a *lot* of programs affected, etc.

Sometimes its useful that you know that there is some vulnerability in
the program you use daily..say something like firefox is affected and
you get a security advisory in LIH, then i will upgrade it
immediately.

You can anyway ignore the advisories which are not relevant to you..if
you are downloading all mails, consider alternatives..check out imap
or webmail!
