Your dhcp client, if you are getting an IP using dhcp

Look for a file called dhclient.conf (or dhcpcd, or pump settings if thats what you are using) and look for an option like

prepend domain-name-servers 127.0.0.1;

One way to go would be to install the caching-nameserver rpm (that's bind setup as a local caching resolver nameserver)
